On Tuesday April 5th, Alpha Kappa Psi, Delta Sigma Pi, and Chris Whitney collaborated on hosting a cover letter workshop. Chris Whitney, the Director of the School of Management Career Services, gave over 70 students a seminar on the correct way to format and compose a cover letter. Whitney stressed to the students that a cover letter is a self-introduction, not a summary of each point on one’s resume. On Wednesday, March 9th, Alpha Kappa Psi brought two partners from PricewaterhouseCoopers in to Binghamton University to speak of their successes and how they got to where they are today. Matt Singer and Maureen Sawyer, both alumnus of Binghamton, shared their experiences as employees of PwC. On Sunday, Feburary 27th, the PricewaterhouseCoopers Scholars program and Alpha Kappa Psi co-hosted a Dinner Etiquette Workshop. Robert Shutt, a business consultant specializing in professional development taught a number of students how to have proper etiquette for professional dinners and interviews.
