At least once a year, Harpur Advising puts on an event titled “Liberal Arts to Business” in which Harpur students who are interested in business can learn about the different areas of business that hire liberal arts majors. In addition, this program gives advice on how liberal arts students can become strong candidates for a career in business. The event also discusses intra-university transfers from Harpur to SOM.

Alpha Kappa Psi has spoken multiple times at this event in the past, since we are open to all majors. We believe that an interest in business is universal and different majors can bring new ideas and perspectives to the table. We encourage all liberal arts students interested in business to try to attend this event.

This semester, “Liberal Arts to Business” will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, in UUW-325.
